Elena Tsyplakova played her first role in the film, which later became a famous actress and film director. The film also became the first in the USSR, in which when shooting the technology of additional dosed illumination of film was used to control the color of the image

The Story:
The seventh grader Seva Mukhin, nicknamed "Mukha", is a big lover of music and learns to play the drum kit . He is fascinated by watching a rehearsal of a jazz ensemble in a local club and also wants to play in a group.
Seva likes a girl from his class, the beautiful Ira Fedorova. They are friends, but their relationship cannot be called ideal.
During the summer holidays, Seva manages to gather like-minded people and create a music group. Then he leaves for the summer camp. Meanwhile, Ira comes to their classmate Bulkin ("Baton") and says that she is leaving, because her military father is being transferred to Murmansk . Ira informs about this in a letter to Mukha, he runs by foot through the city to the train station and runs after the train taking away Ira.

A very diverse & artistic russian movie with great russian jazz-funk music, that is straight influenced by american music of those days.
Simply a MUST for collectors of soundtracks and for the "KILLER FUNK-collector".
